I've been told that a garter stitch is the most common, and I've found lengths, widths, information on wool and needle size, but I can't find simple directions like how many stitches to cast on. I'm learning to knit, and the first project I want to work on, after I get some practice, is a scarf like the ones you show. If you could point me in a direction, I'd really appreciate it.

BobBobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13266355292747168348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5245416777902316886.post-60155593151987443292011-05-18T12:50:02.626-07:002011-05-18T12:50:02.626-07:00I totally agree, Lori! I somehow can't resist those wool yarns. Guess I am hopeless!!!The Humble Stitcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09089664928750295277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5245416777902316886.post-73336223149369886532011-05-18T05:03:01.227-07:002011-05-18T05:03:01.227-07:00Sandy,

I used to knit and crochet years ago and still do a little knitting now and then but cotton and wool fabrics are what make my heart got all aflutter these days.HomeSpunPrimshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01686894266615389133noreply@blogger.com
