I love this "Basket of Flowers Pinkeep" pattern by Stacy Nash and kept thinking of springtime the whole time I was working on it. Aren't those red flowers wonderful??? Not only that, but the design is just perfect for Valentine's Day!
I stuffed it with wool roving and decided to back it with a 19th century reproduction turkey red fabric. I usually back my pinkeeps and pillows with wool but those flowers were begging for something just a little different this time.The weather is beautiful today where I live so this is my way of sharing a little bit of our sunshine with those of you still dealing with winter weather. Hopefully, warm and sunny days are just around the corner for everyone :)

Your photo spot reminds me of a Gail Wilson doll...I bought several of those and never had the time to work them up...funny, today I ran across a copy of Tuck Everlasting and I was reminded of how Gail was asked to do the little doll (that was barely shown) for the feature.

Thanks everyone for your sweet words about my pinkeep! And Gail....funny you should mention Gail Wilson! I've been working on one of her doll patterns all day and am ready to start sewing the clothing tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll be able to post a photo of the finished doll sometime soon :)
...just FATE...glad to hear you are busy working on one of her creations, which reminds me...I think one that I have is a Tree Topper...I must seek her out and I know I will enjoy working on her...btw, do you name your dolls as their personality comes to you during stitching?

Gail....Luckily, it's a warm day here today because my poor little doll is still waiting for her undies and dress. Hopefully, I will be able to work on them a little bit tonight :) And, in answer to your question regarding naming my dolls, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't (not much of an answer, I know, but I guess it all depends on my mood at the time)
I know the Tree Topper doll and it's a cute pattern. I'd love to see your creation if you decide to make her.
