Christmas In July

These two early style Santas are here just in time to help you celebrate Christmas in July! I actually meant to have this pattern published before the 4th but my daughter's computer had other plans and decided to have issues. Since she is the one who gets all of my patterns ready for publication I just had to be patient and wait for her computer to be repaired. That day finally came and so now I am able to share my latest design called Americana Santas, Two Holiday Pinkeeps. The pattern is now available in my Etsy shop where everything is 20% off until at least the end of July.

Thanks so much and happy stitching!

Merry Christmas

Only one more week until Christmas and I finally have a new pattern to show you. My vision seems to be slowing me down a lot more lately as a result of the eye surgery I had earlier in the year. Hopefully that will get better soon since the doctor says the swelling in my eye is finally starting to go down. Yippee!!!

"Merry Christmas" is the third design in my little series of Belsnickels and is now available in my Etsy shop as either a PDF file or mailed paper pattern. Hope you like it!!!

Merry Christmas!

I also want to mention that I now offer both PDF and mailed paper versions of all of my patterns.  Thanks so much!!!

Wishing you all a wonderful and blessed holiday season ahead,

Christmastime

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are looking forward to the upcoming Christmas season. I haven't had as much time as I'd like to create new designs as my Mom has had some health problems these past few months but I did manage to finish at least one. It is called "Christmastime" and I am really happy how it turned out. The pattern is now available in my Etsy shop if you'd like to stitch one for yourself.

Thanks so much!

Molly Bean Christmas Sampler

I love the simplicity of old marking samplers. Something about them just speaks to my heart so I decided to design a simple little one for Christmas. It is called "Molly Bean Christmas Sampler" and is available as a pattern in my Etsy shop. I hope you like it!

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that Christmas will be following close behind.  I'm not sure where this year has gone but here we are almost at the end of it! Wishing you all a peaceful season as we head into what can sometimes be an overwhelming time of year.

Happy stitching!

Christmas Stitching

I hope you all had a great Halloween and are now ready to welcome November! Christmas will be here before you know it and while I am not one to rush past Thanksgiving, I have started to work on a few new cross stitch designs for Christmas.

"Belsnickel" is my first completed design of the season and I am really excited to share it with you here. I hope you like him! The paper pattern for "Belsnickel" is now available in my Etsy Shop for those of you who like to stitch. I think you will find him to be a fun and relaxing piece to work on :)

Belsnickel Found And Some Santas

Sometime in the 1970s I was out shopping and chanced upon a store selling chalkware Belsnickels. I ended up buying only one (wish I could go back to that store now!) and have cherished him ever since. Somewhere along the way he became misplaced and I have missed him for the last several Christmases...I just couldn't find him anywhere. Happily, I was able to rescue him a couple of days ago when I finally found him in a box set way back behind all of the other Christmas boxes...no wonder the poor guy was lost! He now has a special place by one of my favorite little gameboards and definitely won't be going back in that box anytime soon!

Besides my special Belsnickel, I also have several old plastic Santas that I have managed to collect throughout the years. They remind me of my childhood Christmases and that is why I am drawn to them.  It's hard not to have a jolly Christmas with these guys around!

I added a few Christmas pinkeeps to my Etsy Shop today including this wonderful design by Country Rustic Primitives. The Santa and sled belonged to my Grandmother so it is the most special Santa of all.

Christmas blessings,
Sandy

Happy December

Welcome December! It's that magical time of year once more and I am so happy to know that Christmas is just around the corner! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you are just as excited as I am for Christmas this year. My son will be home from Washington, D.C. to celebrate with us and that definitely makes me one happy Mom!!!  My daughter is still with me here in California so both of my kids will be home for Christmas...life is good!

Here are two Country Rustic Primitives pillow tucks I stitched this month for my Early Work Mercantile update. One is called "Peace To All This Christmas Pillow Tuck" and the other is called "Primitive Log Cabin Christmas Pillow Tuck". Hope you like them!

Happy Holidays!

A Log Cabin Christmas

We are having "A Log Cabin Christmas" over at Early Work Mercantile this month so I wanted to tell you all about it here.  There are some wonderful offerings this time around made by some very talented artists...Hope you can stop by if you get the chance!

I stitched a couple of pinkeeps for the celebration and decided to turn them into Christmas ornaments. One is a design by Country Rustic Primitives called "Primitive Night Before Christmas Pinkeep" and the other is a simple marking sampler designed by With My Needle called "Quaker Pinkeep". These were fun to stitch (love that Santa!) but I still can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner!

On another note, I recently opened up a shop on Etsy which is something I have thought about doing for quite a while.  I have a few items listed but hope to have lots more in the weeks to come. There is a link to my shop on my right sidebar if you'd like to take a peek.

Happy November!

Oh my goodness...here we are ready to start another month...where oh where does the time go??? Christmas is just around the corner and that makes me happy but for the life of me, I can't figure out how we
got here so quickly!

I have been busy stitching some Christmas goods this month for my Early Work Mercantile update...two are designs by Country Rustic Primitives and one I adapted from a pattern by With thy Needle & Thread. These are now on the Early Work site if you care to take a peek...I'd be pleased to have you stop by :)

Here's wishing you all the best holiday season ever and...

A Log Cabin Christmas

I have gone from one holiday to the next in just a couple of hours but what a fun day it's been! The last trick or treater has finally left (we had tons this year!) so now it is time to share with you my November offerings for Early Work Mercantile. We are celebrating "A Log Cabin Christmas" this month on Early Work so I decided to stitch two designs by Country Rustic Primitives that I thought were just right for the theme.  They are "Primitive Home For Christmas Pinkeep" and "O Christmas Tree 1806 Pinkeep". I actually stitched O Christmas Tree last year but had to stitch another one for this year because...well...that wonderful log cabin is just too perfect for our theme! I hope you all had a great Halloween and now...here comes November!

Merry Christmas Cupboard Keep

I just finished another Christmas design by Country Rustic Primitives and wanted to share it with you all. This one is called "Merry Christmas Cupboard Keep"...don't you just love that Santa??? Jenny's designs are so much fun to stitch and I always love how they turn out.

I hope you are all keeping warm and enjoying the holiday season so far. Christmas will be here before you know it...guess that means I'd better get started on my shopping!

Happy stitching :)

O Christmas Tree Pinkeep

It's hard to believe that just one week from tomorrow is Thanksgiving but...it's true! Where did this year go??? In order to get myself in more of a holiday frame of mine, I decided to stitch my favorite design by Country Rustic Primitives called "O Christmas Tree 1806 Pinkeep". I bought the pattern last year but finally got around to actually making it this year...and...it's not even December yet!!!

Hope you are all keeping well and happily stitching on something that makes you smile!
