Welcome June
I have really been enjoying working in my garden for the last couple of weeks and decided to stitch a couple of little garden pinkeeps/pillow tucks for my Early Work Mercantile update this month. The first one is a new Country Rustic Primitives design called "Bee Garden Pillow Tuck" and the second is a wonderful new design by Primitive Stitchin called "Birds and Bees Pillow Tuck". I love the beehives and red flowers on each one and am very pleased with how they turned out. Both are stuffed with freshly dried lavender buds and oh do they smell heavenly! I hope you like them, too!!!
Happy stitching!

Honey Thief
I love this older design by The Prairie Schooler called "The Bear and the Bees" and so just had to stitch myself something featuring this very mischievous honey thief! I decided to make a little pillow and then stuff it with my own homegrown lavender. It is displayed among my antique bears to help keep the moths away from that precious mohair...so far, the lavender has been working very well (fingers crossed!) as the bugs seem to leave my collection alone. My bears smell wonderfully fresh and lavender sweet...yummy! My only worry is that Mr. Honey Thief will never get to enjoy his honey in peace!!!
